Mother’s Day Gift to Mom: Clean the House! MOLLY MAID gives more quick cleaning ideas

Yesterday we communicated three steps to get started and tackle those larger cleaning jobs to get Mom's house sparkling; today we'll discuss those little extras that Mom will appreciate, so  she can spend her time doing something she actually enjoys, instead of being stuck inside cleaning the house.

1. How to clean the toilet bowl - Mom will especially appreciate not having to do this dreaded chore!  Pour a cup of white vinegar in the toilet bowl. A few swishes with the brush is all it takes for a natural green clean.

2. How to use vacuum parts - Those extra accessory tools that come with your vacuum actually do have a purpose! Using the proper vacuum tool can help quickly clean those crevices and fabric folds.  The dusting brush tool can be used for lamp shades, hanging light fixtures and Venetian blinds, while the narrow furniture nozzle can be used to clean upholstered furniture, chairs and draperies.

3. How to leave a lasting impression - Once the house is glistening, give Mom some aroma therapy by lighting a scented candle or gathering some flowers from the garden.  Early blooms like daffodils or tulips add a beautiful scent and a great pop of colour to brighten the room.

Imagine Mom's sheer delight of coming home to a sparkling clean house.  It's the perfect gift for Mother's Day!

How to Keep Your House Smelling Clean and Fresh – MOLLY MAID has Answers!

With the spring cleaning season well underway, it's a joy to open the windows and let the fresh air in!

Taking care of filters in your appliances is one of those important cleaning tips that help keep the air in your house clean and fresh for you and your family. Clogged filters can't do their job properly, and an old filter might actually be circulating bad air and bacteria.

Vacuum cleaner: Cleaning or changing a dirty vacuum cleaner filter will improve suction power and can help eliminate dust particles from the air when you vacuum. Check your owner's manual for how-to- information.

Furnace: Even though the weather is changing and the furnace is being used less often, it's still important to replace filters regularly, usually every season. If you have a pet, best practice would be to replace your filter every month.

Air conditioner: Air conditioners also have filters and whether you have central air or a window unit, it's important to visually inspect the filter and clean it if necessary before you start using it again. A dirty filter can cause your air conditioner to malfunction. Remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions on how to clean or replace the filter.
