Need a day off?
March 8th is International Women's Day, which is a celebration of economic, political and social achievements of women around the world. While it's a national holiday in some countries, here's how to do your own salute:
Enroll in a self-defense class. These programs teach women and girls how to physically protect themselves, and they instill a sense of self-confidence as well.
Teach your daughter about money. From an early age, provide her with a bank account, an allowance and guidelines for how to earn, save and spend money.
Spend time with your best gal pal. Give your best friend a MOLLLY MAID gift certificate and then plan an afternoon at a spa, go see a movie or play, or discover a neighbourhood tour together.
Send cards to the favorite ladies in your life. Whether it's your mom, significant other, best friend or an older mentor you've been meaning to reach out to, send them a nice card.
Share the wealth. Donate to an organization that supports and inspires women.
Help your favorite women's cause or charity. Donate your talents whether you're designing pamphlets or helping organize events.
