Last month, Kendall Karoglan and her incredible team at MOLLY MAID North Bay, ON proved their dedication to the community by participating in the Hike for Hospice Palliative Care. The annual event once again proved to be a resounding success! Thanks to the generosity of donors, sponsors, and volunteers, the event surpassed its fundraising goal of $75,000 to raise nearly $103,000 to support hospice care in North Bay.
This year’s theme, “Honouring Our Residents,” was particularly poignant as it highlighted the compassionate care provided by Nipissing Serenity Hospice. The 10-bed, bilingual hospice offers a peaceful and supportive environment for individuals of all ages facing end-of-life care.
Barb Spencer, a Hike for Hospice ambassador, shared a moving story about her sister Trish’s experience at the hospice with the Baytoday.ca. Trish, battling cancer, was transferred from an out-of-town hospital to be closer to home. At Nipissing Serenity Hospice, she received exceptional care, surrounded by loved ones in a serene and comfortable setting.
Kendall and her team’s commitment to giving back to the community is evident in their unwavering support for this worthy cause. By participating in the hike, they not only raised valuable funds but also helped to raise awareness about the importance of hospice care and the challenges faced by those in need.
Molly Maid North Bay’s involvement in Hike for Hospice demonstrates the company’s values of compassion, empathy, and social responsibility. Their efforts contribute to a stronger and more vibrant community for everyone. Their efforts are a testament to the power of community and the importance of giving back.
