Over the last few years, research has shown that women do more housework than men. Which isn’t a big surprise considering our history; however, there are lots of good reasons why men should pick up a mop and bucket more often. Here’s why:
Happier children: According to a study, school-aged children who do housework with their fathers are more likely to get along with their peers and have more friends.
Keeping the peace: Research also says that relationships improve when chores are divided more evenly.
More affection: Wives are likely to show more affection towards their husbands when they help out with housework. Women can see helping out with chores as a sign of love and caring, which increases attraction to their mates.
Less stress: Stress is significantly decreased when housework is balanced.
