Are you planning on making some cleaning resolutions in 2018? If so, here are some popular ideas to help you get inspired.
CLEAN THE BATHROOM AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK
Regular cleaning of this frequently-used room keeps germs and soap-scum from building up. If you are cleaning it once a week, you should be able to get the job done in less than 30 minutes.
To help you focus on the most important areas in your bathroom, use the MOLLY MAID bathroom checklist below. A helpful tip: clean each room from top to bottom, moving from left to right.
- Clean the shower, tub and sink inside and out.
- Scrub the toilet, including the bowl, seat, lid, tank and base.
- Clean, dry and shine all mirrors, chrome and tile.
- Wash windows.
- Empty the garbage.
- Damp-wipe cabinet fronts.
- Clean all shelves, fixtures and items on the vanity.
- Clean and wash the floor.
USE SOMETHING TO PROTECT THE INSIDE OF THE OVEN
It doesn’t matter how careful you are, food splatters are going to occur inside your oven. The heat in the oven causes any splatters or spills to ‘bake-on’ or adhere to the inside of your stove. One way to help make clean up easier is to line the bottom of the oven with tinfoil, trimmed to the size of the oven floor to catch any drips and spills. Make sure to change the foil every so often to keep things clean. Another option is a silicone oven liner. If you use a dishwasher-safe silicone liner, you can easily wipe away spills or put it in the dishwasher to be cleaned!
SOAK COOKING UTENSILS AS YOU ENJOY YOUR MEAL
It’s easy to just toss used pots and pans into the sink or leave them sitting on the stove while you sit down and enjoy the meal you just made. However; it will be much easier to tackle those pots and pans after dinner if you just take another 30 seconds to soak them while you eat. Simply turn on the tap, add a squirt of dishwashing soap and scrub clean after dinner.
MAKE YOUR BED EVERY MORNING
Making your bed is one of the best ways to start your day. Tuck in the sheets, straighten the bed, fluff up your pillows and you’re done. In fact, according to the National Sleep Foundation, people who make their beds every day are nearly 20% more likely to report getting a good night’s sleep. Who doesn’t want a better sleep, right?
